Ouch this week hurt. Amanda was one of my favorites this year. I was actually looking forward to seeing her perform on tour, but alas it was not meant to be. I am pretty pissed off about how this one played out folks. But I think that song choice killed her. Back in the U.S.S.R.? What is a USSR? That is what my kid was asking me, so I guess it simply made no relative connection unless you are over 40 years old.
I knew she would never win the cheesy pop fest we love to watch but to go out before the tour was an unexpected departure. With that less than talented deadlock Brady Bunch reject Jason Castro still around to make me cringe, where is the justice?
American Idol is not always long on the talent some weeks it is just a popularity contest. This is one of those weeks. As I watched Amanda perform week after week, I was feeling her and diggin’ the vibe. I am confident that this will NOT be the last time America hears from her. That chick rocks!
