Janet Jackson’s Breast Makes it Into the Dictionary

Well not exactly, but the word does. In the daily news over at Vogue.com they broke this story today…

THE fashion world never stands still – and apparently, nor does the language we use within it.

The terms “fashion forward”, “nail bars”, “credit crunch” and “wardrobe malfunction”, which famously refers to Janet Jackson’s
breast-baring incident at the 2004 Super Bowl, have all made the cut to
be included in the latest edition of The Chambers Dictionary.

As dictionary editor-in-chief Mary O’Neill explains: “The new words
we added to this 11th edition of The Chambers Dictionary paint a vivid
picture of current interests and concerns.”
